NDGA Post-Highschool Graduate Scholarship

Dear Scholarship Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the scholarship application made available through the North Dakota Grocers Association (NDGA). Selected recipients will receive a $1,000.00 Scholarship. (NDGA).


This application is for the category of “Post High School Graduate.” Eligibility is limited to those who work for a NDGA dues paying member.


Applicants should be aware that failure to follow explicit directions on the application could place your chances of receiving a scholarship in jeopardy. Any application received without all supporting documentation will be forwarded on to those who grade the applications and lack of documentation will be considered when determining the total point values for each applicant.


All applications must be complete:
  1. All applications MUST be completed online at, www.ndgrocers.com , and sent with all supporting documents.
  2. Mailed to NDGA Bronson Scholarship, 3155 Bluestem Dr. #378, West Fargo, North Dakota 58078.
  3. Or Email application and documents to [email protected].
Applications must be received in the NDGA office by March 17th, 2023. Any applications that are received after March 17th will be considered ineligible for consideration. Those applicants who email the application should send a copy to themselves to assure delivery. Once an application is received, NDGA will confirm receipt. If you do not receive a receipt confirmation, please resend your application. NDGA is not responsible for any “bounce backs” or undelivered scholarship applications.

Scholarship winners will be announced by April 3rd. All scholarship applicants will be notified, via email, if they are or are not a winner.

Application for Post Highschool Graduate Scholarship

Accepted up to March 17th, 2023.
You must be employed by a dues-paying member of the North Dakota Grocers Association.
Complete this application and enclose:
  1. A one-page essay on how your work and your extra-curricular activities (in or out of school) have impacted your life, your future goals, and studies.
  2. Official high school transcript (4 years) (If you attended within the last five years).
  3. Official college transcript if you have previously been enrolled.
  4. Official acceptance letter from college or vocational school.
  5. SAT and/or ACT scores if they don’t appear on official transcript, if you took these exams within the last five years.
  6. One letter of reference. Letter of reference should include:
    • Name of letter writer
    • First and Last Name of the applicant whom the letter is written about
    • How long he/she has known the applicant and in what context
    • Description of the applicant’s character, achievements, and ability to set realistic and attainable goals
  7. One letter of recommendation from current employer. Letter of recommendation should include:
    • Name of employer
    • First and Last Name of the applicant whom the letter is written about
    • How long he/she has been employed by the employer and in what context
    • Description of the applicant’s character, achievements, and ability to set realistic and attainable goals
  8. One page typed essay that explains why you are deserving of this scholarship and what are your short and long-term goals upon completion of your additional education

Certification and Permission to use “Recipient Information” to Announce Scholarship Winners

In submitting this application, I certify that the information provided is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge. Falsification of information may result in termination of any scholarship granted. I agree that if I am offered and accept an award from the North Dakota Grocers Association. The Association may use my name, the name of my community, the name and address of my school, the amount of the award, and the name of the post-secondary institution. I will attend (my “recipient Information”) in press releases, public announcements, and other fundraising or promotional materials in all media (including the internet.)
